Promotion
The vision and energy Tom Grimm/World Quest provided to NASA-ESE
in promoting the use of ESE Terra imagery at the Olympics. Six months
ago, Tom presented the concept of this outreach activity. Without
Tom's help many of the activities described above would not have
happened.
Wade Sisler of Goddard PAO
Mark Eubank, Chief Forecaster for KSL/TV, has also been very
helpful and has run NASA visualizations on television here in the
Ogden/Salt Lake/Provo area.
Sponsor
Wade Sisler of Goddard PAO has shown great foresight in working
with the Goddard SVS to prepare the fabulous NASA Zooms to Utah and
promoting their use with network TV. These zooms could give NASA the
best Earth Science outreach exposure in history.
David Harrison of ESE./ESTO at Goddard has also shown vision and
courage to procure two 16 foot Terra/MODIS globes for the Olympics.
This helped give TCMU the confidence to go forward with the Olympic
exhibit.
E-Theater Promotion/Sponsorship
Professor Ed Zipser, University of Utah, Meteorology Department
Head was instrumental in assisting me with justification for the
Utah assignment and invited me to give the Etheater and colloquium
presentations at the University.
Professor David Long, Director of the Center for Remote Sensing,
at BYU was also essential in helping manifest the Utah work
assignment and the invitation to give an Etheater presentation at the
University and work with their Film Department in making an Earth
Science Video.
D.D. Hilke, Executive Director of TCMU has shown great vision and
courage to set up the "Walk'in On The World" Exhibit on an extremely
short time-line.

Mark Brender & his colleagues at Space Imaging Inc. have been
instrumental in getting us the updated IKONOS images necessary on a
very tight schedule to give the Utah Zooms great appeal and immediacy.

Reto Stockli of the Goddard Earth Observatory and Visualization
and Analysis Laboratory has worked tirelessly for many months to
bring us the highest quality ever global image of our planet using
